I want a holiday where I won't have to pay
I'll just go far away
and go stay and play
and go work on the farm
and go paint the barn
I'll go pick wild berries
and sample the dairies
I want free room and board
where I'll never get bored
I'll just swat the flies
and make blackberry pies
and go eat all the fruit
and not spend any loot
and then I'll chop the log
and go fetch the dog
I'll go feed the pigs
and go coast on the bikes
and take hikes round the lake
and go stroll around the forest
and bake a cake for us
for goodness sake
I'll go backpackin'
and go kayakin'
and go hunt for the eggs
and eat chicken legs

from the old apple tree
